Before Christmas we held a competition to come up with an Active Schools slogan.

Each class contributed and active prizes were given to two children in each classroom. The overall winner was Poppi Deveraux in 6th Class who came up with our Active Schools Slogan: “Run, Skip, Hop and Play.  Let`s be active everyday!”.

Luckily local sports stars Seamus Harnedy and Ciaran O`Brien were on hand to present the prizes. They also spoke of their fond memories of playing in the field and yard with their friends when they attended Clonpriest N.S. They encouraged all children to try as many sports as possible during their school years.

Visit of All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie champions to Clonpriest NS in September 2018. Captain of the victorious Cork team, Sarah Harrington, and player, Stephanie Beausang, visited the school with the Jack McGrath Cup.
