Activities from Halloween to Christmas

Since Halloween everyone in Clonpriest has been very busy!

Sixth Class followed a recipe in the children’s Bua na Cainte Irish book. Rinne siad cáca bhrioscaí seacláide as Gaeilge. Bhain siad an-taitneamh as.

5th Class took part in a STEM project based on animals who camouflage. They researched their animal and then made a 3D model of their animal and the habitat with which they camouflage.

The children from 3rd and 4th Class did some great work on uncovering their family tree as part of the History programme. The children found it fascinating in tracing the generations that came before them. Some interesting family finds include Scottish royalty, War veterans, The first picture house owners, book writers etc.

Donnacha Connon wrote a letter to the Taoiseach Michael Martin about cruelty to animals and LUCA( Last Universal Common Ancestor). He received a lovely reply.
Each class planted up an area of the school. It was great to see the school environment brightened up during these trying times!
