Today Clonpriest N.S. staff and pupils welcomed Adam King, one of our Senior Infants, back to school after his adventurous and headlining weekend in Dublin. The entire school, including Adam`s three older siblings Danny(6th Class), Katie (4th Class) and Robert(2nd Class), surprised Adam, his parents, Fiona and David, and baby sister Sarah(11 months) with a guard-of-honour.
He processed around the school, led by Mrs. Aisling Pierce, S.N.A., who played suitable celebratory tunes on her accordion. Adam, as is his way, took it all in his stride as notes of “Congratulations” and “For He`s a Jolly Good Fellow” rang out in the chill morning air. It was back to earth then for our intrepid stargazer as he returned to his classroom and classmates and watched snippets of his Toy Show performance on the class whiteboard.
