Communion

The children in second class who were due to receive their First Holy Communion in May continue to prepare for the Sacrament and a future date will be set. Below are some special prayers from the Grow in Love second class programme that you can pray together at home.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd

The Lord, he is my shepherd

Nothing shall I need.

He leads me to walk in green pastures.

He restores, restores my soul.

He keeps me on the right path

True to his name.

He walks with me when I’m in darkness

And protects me from all harm.

His goodness and his kindness

Prayer before Communion

Lord Jesus, come to me,

Lord Jesus, give me your love,

Lord Jesus, come to me and give me yourself.

Lord Jesus, friend of children, come to me.

Lord Jesus, you are my Lord and my God.
